prisms and rainbows

Light diffracted into rainbows through prisms is one of Le Pape's most remote memory of fascination.

By constructing transparent architectures, by the mean of the optical lens of a camera, or by playing with volume in tapestry, she tries to capture light into material, and to provoke the process of shift from one color to another.

This body of work also refers to the healing power of color in many mystical traditions, on which the artist's has conducted personal research, involving in various experiments and experiences through the past years.
