Claire Le Pape's sometimes quit artificial fibers to ressource into more natural materials such as ancient  linens, collected wood or stones, vintage silk or cotton embroidery threads, handcrafted  paper, traditional Indian ink...

The raw aspect of those materials dives her into darker aspects of the psyché, which are necessary paths to bring back the light to the surface and use it in her other works.

Those works express the artist's concern about the matter of links - obvious cliché for anyone working with fiber - that can be toxic or resilient, that can built ourselves or hinder our self-evolution, that can fasten us to our little habits, or help us building a community, a new society.
